Let's start at the very beginning ...

Laval, Quebec, Canada -- September 28 & 29, 2000

Not only were these my very first concerts, they were where the major portion of the album Sur Scene was recorded! (Brownie points for the first person who can tell me which 3 songs were not from this venue.)

The close ups were the ones Sandy took when he was talking to me. He couldn't quite grasp why we came all that way from Nebraska to see him perform.

Q: What 3 songs on the Sur Scene album were not recorded in Laval?

A: La Manic, Aimon-nous/Il S'Aiment, and Vivo per lei.

Yup, we were all a decade younger then ...

Tomorrow, I'll be posting some very rare stuff Sandy took at the rehearsals for a tribute show for Luc Plamondon with the proverbial all-star cast. We didn't shoot a lot during the show because we were buried pretty far back in the crowd by then. Besides, we knew it was being video taped for television.

Found a couple of photos Sandy didn't take, so I put them up and then the first 16 from the Plamondon tribute. We took a lot of them of the various performers as well as Bruno. These ones include Luc Plamondon, Julie Zenatti, Patrick Fiori, and Isabelle Boulay.

Added 15 more, including Bruno's first appearance at the Plamondon tribute ... surrounded by a bevy of beautiful and talented ladies!

OK ... the pruning has begun. This set now begins with the Plamondon tribute. All the other set and the Laval photos in this set have been deleted. The remainder of the Plamondon photos will be posted tonight and then in coming days will see the fabulous set Sandy took at Festival d'ete de Quebec 2001 and so on! There's lots of great stuff to look forward to sharing with you all.

19 more have been added, which are the final set of rehearsal photos. The final 11 are from the evening's performance, but I will warn you they were taken from a lot farther away. It was a mob scene out there when the actual event started and we got swallowed up in the crowd! I'll be uploading those performance ones shortly. Enjoy!
